Our History
China State Construction Development Holdings Limited (Formerly Known as Far East Global Group Limited) (hereinafter refered to as “CSCD”) was established in Hong Kong in 1969 and re-listed on T\the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (stock code: 830). The “Far East Facde” brand of CSCD has become a highly competitive professional company in the world, which, as a facade company, has the longest history, largest business scale and highest market share in Hong Kong. In March 2012, CSCD was successfully acquired by China State Construction International Holdings Limited. Its business scale has grown significantly and CSCD officially became a member of China Overseas Holdings Limited under China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited. Over the years, based on the business in the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao, the company has successfully entered into many overseas markets such as UK, US, Canada, Dubai, Singapore, Japan, Australia and Chile … etc, with businesses in 5 continents, 11 countries and 43 cities. CSCD has involved in more than 900 landmark buildings in total, achieving remarkable results all over the world.
CSCEC was established formally through the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. It is an investment and construction group which has China’s longest professional development, earliest marketing management, highest degree of integration, and ranked No.1 in the world, as well as the only country-owned key corporate which is managed by the Chinese government within the construction field. CSCEC’s business spreads all over the country and over a hundred countries/regions overseas, including: construction, investment, research design and etc. It is the greatest Chinese real estate corporate, building contractor, cross-regional construction corporate of a developing country and residential construction contractor. CSCEC has always been the best China’s international construction contractor, it is currently ranked 24th in the world’s top 500 corporates.
COHL was established in June of 1979 in Hong Kong under CSCEC, it is an important platform of CSCES’s business in Hong Kong. Its business includes: Construction contracting, real estate development and sales, property investment, urban planning, architectural design and etc. As of December 31, 2016, COHL’s total assets worth 582.2 billion CNY and has 5 listed subsidiaries: China Overseas Land and Investment Limited (00688.hk), 3311 (03311.hk), China Overseas Property Holdings Limited (02669.hk), China Overseas Grand Oceans Group Limited (00081.hk) and China State Construction Development Holdings Limited Limited (00830.hk). It’s “China Overseas Properties” brand (worth about 51.9 billion CNY) has been selected as “China’s Leading Brand of the Real Estate Industry” and “China’s Talented Property Enterprise”, at the same time, it was also rewarded “China’s Top 50 of Real Estate Development Brand” and etc.
3311 was established in 1979 in Hong Kong and mainly focuses on building construction and civil engineering, including peripheral operations such as foundation works, site survey, electromechanical engineering, highway and bridge works, concrete production, concrete prefabrication and infrastructure investment. 3311 holds the highest construction licenses (License C) in five categories, which allow the corporate to submit unlimited tender in construction of public buildings, harbor works, roads and drainage, site development and water works. It is also one of the best NW2 contractors of Hong Kong Housing Authority. Over the past 30 years, more than 1,000 projects have been completed internationally and awarded the “Greatest Contractor in Hong Kong and Macau” for 15 consecutive years. At the moment, 3311 has been actively undertaking infrastructure investment and public housing, the entire investment worth 100 billion CNY, which becomes another core business besides its contracting business. The company has been developing three business platform: Hong Kong and Macau, Mainland China and overseas. Over years, 3311 has won many awards: the “National Science and Technology Progress Award”, “Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize”, “Construction Industry Safety Award Scheme (Building Site Public Sector) Gold Prize”, “Considerate Contractors Site Award”, “Contractor with the Lowest Accidental Rate”, “Safety Management System Bronze Award”, “Hong Kong’s Top Ten Contractors Award”, as well as several times of “Construction Managers” awards.
