To furtherly carry out social responsibility, Far East Global Group Limited (refer as FEGG), collaborated with a public welfare organization, Love 21 Foundation, to provide a day-time lounge for homeless people and named it “The Guest Room”.
Love 21 Foundation, a local public welfare organization based in Hong Kong, advocates: each individual should have equal chance to make the most of its talent. The organization has been working on providing all kinds of services and support to homeless people in Hong Kong, at the same time, through organizing sports activities and supporting Down Syndrome and Autism patients with nutrition. As a listed company, FEGG has been aware of the community development as corporate citizen. Once we were asked by the organization, we played our professional advantages and donated glass wall and door for The Guest Room.
The Guest Room is located at Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. In order to create a bright and spacious, as well as thermal insulating space, we designed a frame curtain wall specifically. The entire façade area is about 20m2; all aluminium, glass, window, door and hardware were purchased from trusted brands, which not only serve the purpose of quality and safety guaranteed, but thermal insulating, water proofing and sound insulating as well. The project lasted 90 days and we have successfully put on the “top coat”. At the moment, The Guest Room is providing services for about 400 homeless people, including resting area, food and laundry services.
Love 21 Foundation highly recognized what we have done for the community, and sent a thank you letter with an appreciation certificate. Participated employees were all proud of themselves and the company for this meaningful project. They are willing to get involved in social responsibilities to expand a healthy and caring living environment.
