Curtain Wall Business

BIM technology application

BIM is based on various information data related to construction projects, and establishes a three-dimensional building model in computer-aided design (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Inventor, and Rhino) and other technologies to simulate the real information that the building has through digital information simulation.

CSCD has always regarded technological innovation as its core competitiveness and set up a leading group for scientific and technological work and a design R&D group for new technology development and application. In order to solve the design problems of complex curtain wall, targeted research on the application of BIM technology in the field of curtain wall is conducted. In the difficult design of the curtain wall of the Murray Road project in Central of Hong Kong, we applied BIM to establish and analyze the conceptual model, approximate geometric model, precise geometric model, processing and manufacturing model, and completion model in turn, and successfully completed the design of the 3D hyperbolic curtain wall. In addition, the 3D laser scanner was used to create an inverted field model to compare the theoretical BIM model and adjust the field components accordingly. In the whole project, the eight characteristics of BIM technology, namely information completeness, information correlation, information consistency, visualization, coordination, simulation, optimization and diagrammability were fully reflected.

R&D in Curtain Wall New Technology

The company is a pioneer in the industry, focusing on front-end technology research, summary and application of facade, with six industry-leading core technologies.

Super high-rise facade technology

Behind the building height is a city’s dream. The towering skyline coalesces the connotation of a city and highlights the vibrancy of the city. As the pursuit of building height becomes more widely sprad in every city, the desire for landmark buildings becomes stronger , which results in a change in the difficulty in facade technology arising from building height.

The company possesses the technology for building landmark facade projects of skyscrapers such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. In addition to fulfilling the basic function of facade, the company uses sophisticated design and innovative installation methodology to overcome numerous difficulties caused by super high wind pressure and large structural displacement, as well as environmentally friendly low-e glass to resist the tropical hot desert climate, and complete skyscraper projects on time without compromising the work quality.
