As the recent global warming and environmental deterioration, energy saving and emission reduction become an international matter. All governments and citizens from different country start to observe corporates’ environmental protection’s performance. COHL has been complying to the international tendency and national policy during daily operations. As one of the listed companies, Far East Global Group (refer as FEGG) actively adheres to our parent company’s policy, participate to social responsibilities and carry out sustainable development.
COHL has been promoting the “Energy Saving and Emission Reduction” action since the second season of 2016 and upgraded it as an annual action in 2017. The action encouraged all employees within FEGG to save paper, electricity and water through setting up an annual target and monitoring all related data. FEGG joined the event actively, through statistic, the annual paper usage decreased 38.6% comparing to 2016, the annual electricity usage decreased 0.8%, which fulfilled 74% of the 40 “Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Action List” items and awarded the “Green Label”.
This assessment represents a recognition of the effort that FEGG puts toward environmental protection. We will continuously react to corporate’s responsibility from corporate governance to daily business to guide our employees to start from smaller actions and develop a “Green Community”.
