For the sake of involving in the World Environment Day on June 5th and responding to China Overseas Holdings Ltd.’s (refer as COHL) “COHL Environmental Protection Month” activity arrangement, Far East Global Group (refer as FEGG) organized a set of related events. The motivation of these events was to “Carry out energy-saving idea to achieve a win-win solution for profits and environmental protection”. We expected to encourage our company and subsidiaries to start promoting the idea of environmental care, to reduce wastes, and to proactively expand a “Green Zone”.
FEGG’s headquarter held an Eco-Friendly Homemade Cleaner Workshop. Through teaching employees to make eco-friendly cleaners with natural materials, they could look after their skin and prevent pollutions. We also hope this workshop could raise further awareness, so that more people can get engaged and be responsible to this social activity.
Far East Shenzhen and Far East Xi’an responded actively as well. Through spreading the notice online and posting poster to promote “COHL Environmental Protection Month”, they also suggested employees to decrease the air-condition usage and green transport to support carbon reduction.

Employees from China State Construction Prosper suggested many compelling ideas during the promotion period. Based on employees’ opinion, they set up recycling zones for batteries and used paper to reduce pollution and waste.

Far East Shanghai held a lecture about environmental care and learned from a TV show about waste sorting. The show explained how our daily trash would have handled, why it was important, and how to sort out different kinds of trash. Then, employees were encouraged to discover the waste of recourses and the lack of environment caring in the office and construction site. An “Environmental Caring Proposal” was concluded to draw more attention to protect our environment.

Our call for “Environment Protection and Health Development” is not only FEGG’s social responsibility, but also each employees’ duty. Let us all engage in environmental care and build a green world together.
